So I have finally figured out an environmentally friendly system to store and share our seed stock.
Recycled boxes with cardboard dividers. I have an endless supply of them due to a regular monthly order. We are also going to do the folding newspaper envelopes, once we run out of the seed packets we have.
At the moment I have flowers and herbs in one of the large boxes and veggies in the second, all alphabetically filed and in date order.
The main stock stays at home in a cool spot. In one of the smaller boxes we take seeds ready to plant now. The other small cardboard box is admin stuff for collecting new seed, where ever we happen to be.
Thank you to PCG for the loan of the plastic storage boxes, I will return them to you at the next gathering this Sunday.
It is my aim to save all the seed I can, and then give it all away to people in our community.
If you have any seed to share, or would like to swap, please let me know. If you need any particular seed, get in touch, if I have some I will share.
